OUT OF THE DEPTHS

Privacy

We collect only what is needed to provide the feature you choose.

Find Your Psalm

Your search may be sent to OpenAI to suggest Psalms. We do not store the words you enter or send them to advertising tools. Please leave out names and other identifying details.

Email updates

If you join the email list, we store your email address, the consent you gave, and where you joined. We use Kit to send confirmation and future updates. You can unsubscribe from any email.

Psalms Hero accounts

Clerk provides account authentication. The game stores your player name, verified account identifier, and ranked scores. Email marketing remains optional and requires separate consent.

Anonymous measurement

We count page views and a small set of actions—such as a listening-service click, completed game, or accepted signup—as daily totals. We do not store an analytics profile, your search text, email, IP address, or browser identifier with those totals. Global Privacy Control disables this measurement. Do Not Track disables it outside the playlist listening page; the listening page does not treat legacy Do Not Track as an opt-out.

Listening-page privacy and Meta cookies

To opt out of sharing for advertising, turn off “Allow Meta cookies.” You can also turn off anonymous activity counts. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

Return to the music services

On the playlist listening page, we also record anonymous page openings and music-service selections with the campaign labels attached to the link, such as its source, creative label, or ad ID. Each action has a random event ID to avoid counting the same delivery twice. We do not retain a visitor ID, advertising click ID, full URL, IP address, email, or browser details with these records. Campaign labels may be remembered in this tab for up to 30 minutes. Your Privacy Choices lets you turn anonymous measurement off.

We use approximate country and US state information supplied by our hosting provider to select the listening-page tracking policy. We do not store this location with listening events. Meta tracking is disabled outside the United States and when the location is unknown. In California, Illinois, and Pennsylvania, Meta cookies remain off until you accept. In other recognized US states and the District of Columbia, configured Meta tracking is on unless you opt out. A saved refusal or Global Privacy Control always blocks it. We do not infer or send your religious beliefs. If enabled, the Meta Pixel sends page visits and music-service click events to Meta, including the chosen service, page title, campaign labels, ad or creative IDs when present, and a random action ID. Meta may also collect browser and device information, IP address, advertising click identifiers and cookies through its own script. These are separate from our anonymous records described above. We use this information to measure ad performance. Meta may use it to deliver and personalize advertising under its own policies.

You may withdraw advertising measurement at any time through Privacy Your Privacy Choices linked from the listening page. Turn off “Allow Meta cookies” to opt out of the sharing used for advertising. A browser Global Privacy Control signal takes priority over saved permission. Legacy Do Not Track is not treated as an opt-out on this page. Withdrawing stops future events from this page; it does not remove information already sent to Meta. See Meta’s cookie policy and cookie choices for its data use and opt-out controls. Music services you choose to open have their own privacy policies.

We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics for page, referral, visit, and performance reports on the public website. Cloudflare does not use cookies, local storage, or browser fingerprinting for this measurement. We do not load its analytics beacon when Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control is enabled. These reports do not identify unique people or include your search text or URL query parameters.
