Behind the voice

The Spark is a worship band centered on husband-and-wife team Chris and Ro Marvin. Chris leads much of the songwriting and musical direction, with songs grounded in Scripture and the life of a worshipping community.

Based in Vancouver, Washington, Chris has collaborated with Skillet members Jen Ledger and John Cooper. The Spark’s catalogue includes Burning Hearts and the live recording Ascent. Chris Marvin sings on Out of the Depths’ Psalm 8, whose words hold the vastness of creation alongside the worth of human life.
